Named because of their unique shape, the Cuatro Tetas basket (literally translated as “four breasts”) is handwoven by artisans from the Eperara Saipidaara community. This basket is crafted from two types of Colombian natural fibers: tetera and chocolatillo.
Each of these pieces is handwoven and hand-dyed. Hence, the manufacture can take weeks.
The weaving of the Eperaara Siapidaara community contains patterns that are typical of their culture. The baskets tell some of their stories and express the creators’ way of thinking.
Cuatro Tetas were once used to store food and household items. Now, they are a bohemian-chic must for your home.
