Product Story
This piece was handwoven by artisans from the Eperara Saipidaara community, originally from Cauca (western Colombia).
The art of tetera weaving is a tradition that has been passed down from mother to daughter for centuries. Men, on the other hand, are responsible for cultivating and collecting the raw material for handicrafts’ manufacture.
Each of these pieces is handwoven and hand-dyed. Hence, the manufacture can take weeks.
The weaving of the Eperaara Siapidaara community contains patterns that are typical of their culture. The designs on the Quibdó Ceiling Lamp tell some of their stories and express the creators’ way of thinking.
Fill your home with history and bohemian elegance with these unique pieces.
